In Kunstraadsels, Professor Frans Grijzenhout, professor of art history at the University of Amsterdam, unravels secrets behind famous Dutch masterpieces from the Golden Age.
Together with a team of young art historians, he consults archives and experts, and uses technical means to find out who the people depicted in the famous portraits are or where the painted locations are. Kunstraadsels revolves around the stories behind the famous portraits of the Golden Age, by such appealing and well-known painters as Johannes Vermeer, Jan Steen and Ferdinand Bol.
